Other Gay-Friendly San Diego Communities
Many other communities are also quite comfortable for the gay family, with slightly lesser concentrations of same-sex households according to the Gay and Lesbian Atlas, including Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Linda Vista, La Mesa, Mt. Helix, El Cajon, and Lemon Grove. These areas aren't as visibly "out" as the first circle surrounding Hillcrest...perhaps because they are so well integrated.
